All of our staff is field educated in their respected trades. PROJECTS

Smithsonian Institution - New Indian Museum

On this project, we were in charge of drawing the ductwork and piping coordination drawings. It was a total mechanical package of 6 million (counting change-orders). The drawings were created using metric units. The design of the building was "conch" like, leaving no straight lines to draw reference from.

Baltimore Washington International Airport -

International Terminal

This was, until recently, our largest ductwork coordination job. The contract surpassed $60,000 by the end of the project. It consisted of 63 drawings, including roof sleeve layouts.

Dulles Airport - Midfield Terminal

This project was also a large ductwork coordination job. Project foreman, Chris Stettes, had his hands full, conquering the 1000 foot long building.

Frederick Memorial Hospital

Filling in and attaching to existing hospital facilities is what made this job special. Phases were scattered throughout the hospital as they expanded their facility two fold. Duct and pipe were coordinated with new and existing conditions. Each phase was like a new and unique project.

National Institute of Health - Building #33

This project is our largest single piping job. It consisted of 4 floors, as well as 4 interstitial mechanical spaces that were jam packed. This contract exceeded $130,000 when completed.

Hippodrome Performing Arts Center

Restoring a cultural landmark that has been closed for decades was no easy task. The plans for the new Hippodrome included expanding into the adjacent buildings. Field surveys, multiple section views, and hours of drawing research were needed to produce this beautiful building. Containing over 30 drawings, the coordination process was completed in 5 months.

Peabody Institute

The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University has seen some of history's most revered talent walk through it's doors. Restoring and adding to the nation's oldest music conservatory, was a challenge in that new technology for sound reduction had to be incorporated, without losing it's history feel. Working with Airway Sheet Metal's Bill Dillow, we were proud to help restore this building by producing accurate coordination drawings that called out major problems, and helped resolve them, before it was too late.

Baltimore Ravens Stadium

This project was a ductwork only coordination job. Time was the one entity that made this job special. We worked 7 days a week and 10-12 hour days for 2 months straight. The job was completed on schedule.

Fairfax County Detention Center

This job will probably rank as the longest we ever worked on one job. We spent almost 1 1/2 years working on the various phases of the project. The total mechanical on this projected exceeded 10 million dollars.

Inova Heart Institute

This project is absolutely packed with duct work. Five brand new floors at Fairfax Hospital. This ranks as one of our greatest triumphs. The ductwork was stacked as many as 5 layers deep.
